Deben’s younger swimmers, who had not experienced competitions before, attended a novice gala hosted by Felixstowe Swimming Club. Welcome to the Deben Swimming Club Website
Woodbridge based Deben swimming club caters for swimmers from Learn to Swim to a competitive standard. Weekly swimming lessons are provided for improver to advanced learners, with progressive teaching leading to squad training and competition. Various levels of competition are catered for and training tailored to suit, from in-house fun galas through to county, regional and ultimately national competition level.
The club consists of two main sections – The Teaching Section and the Squad Section. Each section has its own specific coaching / teaching aims, and being an all inclusive club we integrate swimmers with disabilities where the environment and type of disability enables us to.
The Teaching Section is for swimmers aged five and above. There are seven groups, which each swimmer will progress through as levels and awards are achieved. The club follows the ASA National Teaching Plan.
The squads are divided between Development, Competitive and Performance and the entry criteria is under Squad Information.

Over the weekend of the 9th and 10th May, 21 swimmers went to Bury St Edmunds to compete in the development meet. It was a very successful meet with 78% pbs across the entire weekend. West Suffolk Development Meet report
On the weekend of 23rd to 25th May 2015 Deben took four swimmers who qualified for this year’s 14 and under Regional Championships, to Norwich UEA for a three day weekend of racing. Under 14 Regionals -report 2015
