Canzini Shield Winners
Our President Helen Canzini who has been with the club since 1979 has kindly given us a “Canzini Shield” for each month for the swimmer who meets the following criteria –
- Has a 70% or higher attendance rate
- Excels in training
- Performs at meets within that month
- Catches the coaches eye!
May 2011 – Adam Last, 80% attendance and has really turned a corner completing kick sets, 400’s and making the turn arounds, improving his technique and working hard putting the effort in on every session.
April 2011 – Harry Longbottom, 85% attendance, made his first county time and competes well. He competes at short notice and works hard in training.
March 2011- Scott Claydon, 80% attendance and works hard in training concentrating on his skills and always gives his best
February 2011- Owen Smith, tries hard in every session and gives something back to others.
January 2011 – Conor Lynch, 80% attendance, keeps his head down, never complains, trains hard and always competes well.
December 2010 – Lauren Osbourne, 75% attendance and always give her best in training with great skills.
November 2010 – Georgina Fulcher, 80% attendance and has gained Regional Times this early on in the season. Gives 100% in training and performs well in comps.
October 2010 – Becki Merrill, reached 100% attendance and gained 8 county times. Trains well and makes us laugh!
September 2010 – Andrew Perry, has shown a positive improvement in his work level and consequently his performance recently has shown significant improvement.
July 2010 – Jasmine Seller, 75% attendance/trains so hard every session. Gives up her time to coach the younger swimmers, helps out at galas home and away and takes real pride in her club.
June 2010 – Sam Allen, 85% attendance/trains hard every session, in fact we have to tell him to slow down some of the time!! Very polite and has never ever complained or moaned about the set in all the time he has been in County!!
May 2010 – Daisy Pitt, 70% attendance/swam every single race at the Summer League in her own age group and an age group up at short notice and has given her best in training.
April 2010 – Jessica Foulger, 90% attendance/gives her best in training all the time with a smile and encourages team mates at Galas.
March 2010 – Daniel Harris, 80% attendance/trains really well every session and stepped in at short notice to swim every event in his own age group and swam up an age group at the Novice Series. Always asking if he can help with anything!
February 2010 – Kieren Whight, 85% attendance/trains hard every session & focuses/PB at Open Meet/so polite!
January 2010 – Emma Studd, 100% attendance/trained through injury/Pb’s at Open Meet/always smiling.
December 2009 – Robert Attwater, always makes us smile and he works hard.
November 2009 – Zara Taylor, never fails to impress and works hard in training.
October 2009 – Daniel Perry, works hard in training and takes on board everything you tell him.
September 2009 – Caitlin Russell, always on time and works hard in training & gives it her all in comps.
